PSG has set itself a priority this summer: recruiting a great midfielder who can bring a real plus to Luis Enrique’s squad. Luis Campos identified Joshua Kimmich as the player best meeting these criteria. Good news, Bayern Munich would be open to a departure from the German international, but the latter would not wish to join the French champion.

The summer transfer window has not opened for very long, but PSG was quick to announce its first reinforcement. The capital club has decided to bring a little competition to Gianluigi Donnarummaby bringing in the Russian goalkeeper, Matvey Safonov. The latter committed for around €20M and signed a contract until 2029.

PSG track Kimmich

After completing the transfer of Matvey Safonovthe PSG could focus on recruiting a big midfielder. Luis Campos has already started to be activated and it aims in particular Bruno Guimarães or Joshua Kimmich. Newcastle could sell the Brazilian this summer, because of financial fair play, but it will probably be for more than €100M. On the other hand, it will be less for the German, who is at the end of his contract in June 2025.

Kimmich does not want to join PSG

Due to the asking price for Bruno Guimarãesthe PSG could therefore accelerate on the track Joshua Kimmich. According to information from Sky Sports Germanythe Bayern Munich would also be open to a departure from his midfielder this summer. This would allow the Bavarians to avoid a free departure of the former player of the RB Leipzig in June 2025, when his contract ends. But bad news, Kimmich would not be interested in joining the PSG. The German international would rather see himself evolving on the side of Real Madridof FC Barceloneof Manchester Cityof Liverpool orArsenal. The champion of France will therefore have to prepare good arguments if he wants to change the midfielder’s mind.
