Georgia and the Czech Republic parted back to back (1-1) this Saturday, on the occasion of the 2nd day of the group stage of Euro 2024.

Beaten by Turkey for its entry into the first final phase of a Euro in its history, Georgia won a point this Saturday in Hamburg, against the Czech Republic (1-1), who had also lost during the 1time day ahead of Portugal.

Ultra-dominant, the Czechs were surprised at the end of the first period by a penalty from Georges Mikautadze (1-0, 45e+4). But after having stumbled against Giorgi Mamardashvili for a long time, the Czech Republic ended up equalizing thanks to their scorer Patrik Schick (1-1, 59e), left injured a few moments later.

A draw that doesn’t help anyone but leaves everyone alive. On the last day, Georgia will therefore have to create a feat against Portugal to qualify for the round of 16 of the tournament. For its part, the Czech Republic will have to win ahead of Turkey.
