The senator and regional councilor PS of Morbihan, Simon Uzenat, was very clear on the instructions for the second round: “Il We must ensure that there are as few RN deputies as possible elected in the second round. If there is a candidate from the New Popular Party who is in third place and who puts RN candidates in a position to be elected, obviously he will withdraw, that’s clear. In this constituency where Lysiane Métayer, sponsored by Jean-Yves Le Drian, won by a narrow margin in 2022 (51.35% of the vote), “there is a possibility of switching” estimates political scientist Thomas Frinaut. We find Damien Girard for the New Popular Front, already in the second round in 2022 for Nupes.
This constituency has only four candidates, with the National Rally which came first in the European elections.
This means that there is almost a three-way race from the first round, in other words that there will most likely be a three-way race in the second round.” estimates Thomas Frinaut.
