“It’s a bad sign…”: the Union will have to do without a manager for a while – All football

Union Saint-Gilloise won against La Gantoise this Saturday (0-0). Alessio Castro-Montes was injured late in the match.

Union Saint-Gilloise floundered on their home field this Saturday evening against La Gantoise. Dominators, the men of Sébastien Pocognoli failed to capitalize on their opportunities.

In addition to this frustrating draw, the Saint-Gillois lost Alessio Castro-Montes. The right back, again very active on his flank, was injured at the end of the match after a cross.

Pocognoli gave news of Castro-Montes in a post-match press conference, and it is unfortunately not reassuring.

The Union should lose Alessio Castro-Montes for several weeks

“We’ll see on the medical exam, but it looks like a tear. I think it will be a matter of a few weeks.”

“We still have to wait for the results of the scan, but apparently it’s a bad sign. Especially for Thursday (against Midtjylland in the Europa League, nda), when we already have a fairly short list. We will have to find solutions.”
