And yes, it wasn’t a dream. Victor Osimhen (25 years old) indeed signed for Galatasaray this summer, following his standoff with SSC Napoli. A true star in Türkiye, he has already appeared five times this season for four assists delivered and three goals scored, including a last one that is simply magical.
Returning from injury this Saturday, Victor Osimhen took advantage of around twenty minutes to shine during the duel between Antalyaspor and Galatasaray. Just a few seconds after coming into play, he saw a first goal rejected for offside. The Ivory Coast international made up for it in added time by scoring a sumptuous goal. In the heart of the area, he suddenly took off for an acrobatic return and a powerful shot under the bar (90+3′) for a clear victory (0-3). His creation has also gone around the web.
At the final whistle, when he had just celebrated with his entire bench, he coldly deciphered his goal: “I wanted to do it (his return) as a first intention, but the defender was directly on me. If I did and ended up touching it, it was a guaranteed free kick. So I let the ball bounce, my opponent fell, and then it was easy for me.”he simply declared to the Turkish press.
