Senators: Cole Reinhardt recalled, Mads Søgaard transferred to Belleville

The Ottawa Senators recalled forward Cole Reinhardt and assigned goaltender Mads Søgaard to their Belleville affiliate in the American Hockey League on Sunday.

This could mean star goaltender Linus Ullmark is ready to return after being sidelined with a sprain.

The Senators recalled Søgaard earlier this week and the goaltender participated in one game, allowing 4 goals on 17 shots in 34 minutes of play against the Los Angeles Kings.

Ex-2nd round pick – 37th overall – of the Senators in 2019, the Dane has not yet been able to establish himself in the National Hockey League. In 28 games since the 2021-2022 season, he has a record of 11-10-3 with a goals against average of 3.52 and a save percentage of .881.

Reinhardt is having an excellent start to the AHL season. He has 2 goals and 3 assists in 3 games. He scored 8 goals and collected 15 assists in 56 games in Belleville last season.

Reinhardt played one NHL game in 2021-2022, receiving two penalty minutes.
