Amateur rugby (Regional 1). First draw for Moissac, who remains undefeated

The Moissagais leader hosted this Sunday, under resplendent sunshine, the Lotois team of Bretenoux Biars Vayrac Gramat, also undefeated (three victories for the Chasselatiers, against two victories and a draw for the Lotois visitors). It was therefore the match which could or could not permanently establish the team managed by Benoît Mothes at the top of the ranking. Despite the heavy rain over the weekend, the meeting was held and it took place. Coaches Benjamin Gilbert and Nicolas Beaudonnet (Jimmy Michon and Damien Coudol for the reserves) have lined up two great teams. Finally, given the very good condition of the pitch, the two matches took place on the main pitch. After the reserve’s victory (21 to 16), the pennant teams faced each other as part of Pink October. The match could not have started worse for the locals, who conceded a try before the end of the first minute, with Guillaume overflowing on the wing. Moissac is not going to procrastinate, and brings the game back to the opponent for a new try in the corner from Kelevi Nacagilaba. From that moment on, the rest of the first period was going to be very difficult for the Chasselatiers who were going to play twice ten minutes with fourteen players, and a lack of success at the foot. The result at the break is 11 to 5 for the players from the jam capital.

AM comes back without winning

A new failure on penalty from Pierre Lopez should be noted before the 80 meter restart from Nando Sousa-Martins for the test, far from being done, by Lucas Chazelas. For the first time, Moissac took the score (12 to 11, 48th). This was not going to be enough since the Lotois scored a second try in the corner by Capel, transformed by Flamary. The end of the match was going to be breathtaking, and its eight long minutes of stoppage in play. Both teams created chances without realizing it. Draw 18 to 18. The tension remained palpable and a few minutes after the final whistle, a “general” took place on the field, without causing the slightest injury; Moulinades. Everyone left the pitch calmly.
And now. Next Sunday, after receiving a team from Lot, the future of Moissagais will travel to Saint-Céré to face the local team. Another Lotois training!
