SUMMARY

Caleb Williams threw four touchdown passes and the Chicago Bears ruled the roost at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday, winning 35-16 over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Keenan Allen and Cole Kmet each caught two touchdown passes.

Kmet’s second catch capped an 85-yard drive. Among the 10 plays on the drive, Williams had runs of 23 and 19 yards.

A three-yard catch by Allen made it 27-10 early in the final quarter.

The Bears won their third straight game, improving their record to 4-2.

D’Andre Swift also reached the end zone for the Bears, via a one-yard touchdown run. He totaled 91 yards rushing.

Gabe Davis provided two touchdown receptions for the Jaguars (1-5).

First pick in the last draft, Williams accumulated 226 passing yards. He was the victim of an interception.

Trevor Lawrence had 234 air yards, with two touchdown passes and an interception.

Playing for the first time since Week 1, tight end Evan Engram rushed for 102 yards on 10 catches.

However, he committed a fumble early in the third quarter. That led to a nine-yard touchdown reception for Allen.

“It’s a 17-game schedule, there’s still a lot of football left to play,” Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said after his team’s loss.

He was also quite critical of the entire staff, saying that “the culture of the team had to change before losing control”.

While Pederson seemed satisfied with his players’ level of effort, safety Andre Cisco didn’t seem to have the same opinion after the game, stating that the defensive unit gave up in the second half.

“There is no excuse for lack of effort. Showing up for every match is the least every player can do and I include myself in that. »

The Jaguars will remain in London. They will be the host club next Sunday at Wembley Stadium, facing the New England Patriots.

The Bears will have a week off before facing the Commanders in Washington on October 27.
