Amateur basketball – Nationale 2: a high-level derby between and the team of TOAC
Amateur basketball – Nationale 2: a high-level Occitanie derby between Auch and the Toulouse team of TOAC

the essential
The ABC players meet their supporters this Saturday, October 5 (from 8 p.m.) at the Mathalin Hall, facing the formidable neighbors TOAC.

The Auscitains are preparing to play twice at home in this National 2 championship. First this Saturday, BC welcomes the TOAC, and next weekend, it is the Landais d’Horsarrieu who will present themselves at Mathalin .

The Toulouse team from TOAC are therefore the next well-known opponent for Jordan Debrie’s teammates. A new high-level derby between the two representatives of the region in this group B of Nationale 2, which once again promises its share of duels and guaranteed suspense.

Last season, TOAC won in Mathalin after extra time, but the Auscitains emerged victorious in the following two duels, in the cup then in Toulouse.

The two teams remain with one defeat, Auch conceded to its first defeat of the season last Saturday 76-61, and TOAC was surprised at home by the Landais of ESMS, 80-94.

Offensive assets to contain

Jérôme Séailles’ players will have to try to contain the Seguéla-Forcada Sanchez duo, without forgetting one of the best leaders of the group who migrated from Marmande in the off-season, and whom the Auscitains know well, Arnaud Bruzac. And the latter was quick to show his leadership in his new jersey, with successively 20, 21 then 17 points scored. Thomas Lannelongue and Jordan Debrie will therefore not be at the party tomorrow evening, the Toulouse team has many offensive assets which will need to be contained.

On the Gers side, the men in form at the start of the season, Maxence Courtoisie and Théo Herzig, will want to offer their public a new success (after the demonstration against the GAB a fortnight ago, Editor’s note), against a Toulouse team which is will present to Mathalin with many ambitions.

Start of this duel, this Saturday, October 5, at 8 p.m., at the Mathalin room, in Auch.
