After the meetings at the start of the week between Saint-Etienne supporters and the club, Olivier Dall’Oglio returned to the exchanges with the Ultras during the press briefing on Friday noon. Exchanges that he considers very encouraging for his staff and the players.

A few days after the tags and banners deployed at L’Etrat following the correction received by the Greens in Nice (8-0), the different groups of supporters were able to discuss with the club management, the staff but also the players. From Monday, it was the Green Angels who met the club, before the MF91 also took part in a meeting on Tuesday morning at the Robert-Herbin Sports Center in L’Etrat.

Exchanges that have been described to us as necessarily “tense” from the point of view of the situation but also “constructive” with several speeches from the different interlocutors. After the huge disappointment in Nice, the desire was to put things straight, for all those involved to take responsibility and for everyone to get back to work with the match in mind. against Nantes this Sunday at 5 p.m., the goal being that such humiliation cannot happen again in the future.

This Friday noon during the press briefing before the weekend meeting in Nantes, Olivier Dall’Oglio returned to these moments he shared with the supporters and the content of the exchanges with the groups: “Honestly, the interviews with the supporters were positive. They told us of their dismay over the Nice match. We can only understand them. I found that they sent us a positive message while insisting on the fact that it doesn’t happen again. They are angry, they won’t put up with this a second time but they are with us, I think the exchanges were able to satisfy the players.

Also questioned on the subject, Pierre Ekwah did not wish to go into detail about the meeting with the groups, specifying that the supporters would once again be behind the players from this Sunday in Nantes: “They didn’t bury us, we will still have support in Nantes, they will be with us until the end and we thank them for that. The internal discussion must remain internal.”
