The opponent: Troyes in the tough
From one extreme to the other. Four days after a productive trip to Brittany to see the leader Guingamp (2-2), FC Annecy welcomes the bottom team Troyes. A team that was beaten at home on Friday (0-3) by a Rodez team that is nevertheless in full doubt after four defeats in four matches.
After five days, the City Group club has only one point taken in Bastia (0-0, D4), the worst attack in the championship (1 goal) and the third worst defense (10) behind the promoted Martigues and the Red Star (11). A laborious start to the season explained in part by its late draft, on July 30, following the administrative relegation of the Girondins de Bordeaux.
“Troyes is not at its best but has potential players. We are well placed to know, it is not always easy to learn about your draft at the last moment”, did not forget the Annecy coach Laurent Guyot as a mirror of the situation experienced a year earlier by the Haut-Savoyards. “It will come at one time or another but I hope not as early as Tuesday.”

The central defender Junior Diaz, an undisputed starter since his recruitment this summer by ESTAC for 2.5 million. And the attacking midfielder Martin Adeline, who has remained in the hearts of the supporters (2 goals and 3 assists with FCA) as well as in those of the staff interested in the idea of bringing him back. Unfortunately, Annecy’s finances did not allow them to buy the former Rémois player snatched away on the last day of the transfer window by Troyes and immediately propelled into the role of a starter by the new coach Stéphane Dumont, who had been with Guingamp and was inducted four days before the resumption of the championship.
