Almost a year ago to the day, Lucas Perri signed as the new goalkeeper for Olympique Lyonnais. In twelve months, the Brazilian has taken on a whole new dimension.
Already a year for Lucas Perri. Indeed, on January 5, 2024, the Brazilian goalkeeper signed his first contract with Olympique Lyonnais until 2028. Yesterday (Monday January 6), he shared a story on his Instagram account, remembering this day so important to him. “A year here! Happy and proud! Much more to come! Always together, OL”.
Four cup matches before taking over
Arriving in the 2024 winter transfer window from Botafogo, the 27-year-old goalkeeper only played four matches during the 2023-2024 season, the time for him to acclimatize to his new life. Four Coupe de France matches, including a final lost to PSG (1-2). He conceded three goals and still achieved two “whitewashes” during this great epic.
This season, the Brazilian has established himself as number 1 goalkeeper in front Anthony Lopesfree party FC Nantes last December. Currently, he has twenty-one appearances in all competitions under the Rhone jersey. Having achieved good performances, including recently Saturday in Montpellier (1-0), but also having experienced some less successful performances, his statistics are mixed. He conceded twenty-three goals and still kept seven clean sheets. Enough to generally legitimize his current starting position, even if his second part of the season will be closely scrutinized.
