PSG: Fiasco announced for the historic Qatar project?

A truly historic departure is being prepared for PSG. In order to carry out renovation work at the Parc des Princes, Qatar wanted to buy it. But the town hall firmly refuses this. The leaders of the capital club are reportedly considering moving and building their own stadium. But this project promises to be rather complicated to carry out.

In its history, the PSG has almost always evolved Princes Park. The capital club arrived at the Parisian stadium in 1973 and has not left it since. But after more than 1,000 matches played, a page could be turned. THE Qatar wanted to buy the speaker Red-and-Blue in order to carry out renovation work. But the town hall of Parus is firmly opposed to it. The dialogue even seems broken with Nasser Al-Khelafiwhich plans to build a new stadium for PSG. Several destinations were then mentioned, such as the racecourse of Saint-Cloud, , Saint-Quentin-en- or even Aulnay-sous-. The town hall of Paris however, made it clear to the leaders of the Parisian club that such a project was going to be rather complicated to carry out.

Mission impossible for the construction of the new PSG stadium?

« You have to understand that building a 100,000-seat stadium with all the things you need cannot happen in less than 15 years. As long as it is possible between environmental legislation, technical constraints of traffic and public transport… I wish them good luck » launched Emmanuel Grégoire at the microphone of BFM Paris recently.

Paris town hall wants to relaunch dialogue with PSG

The current first deputy of the town hall of Paris but also candidate for the succession ofAnne Hidalgo is, however, not opposed to a reopening of dialogue with the PSG in order to find a solution to the Princes Park. « PSG is a club for which we have affection, not only me but the Parisians, the Grand-Parisians. We have a lot of respect. […] My ambition is simple: to start again on a basis of dialogue that I hope is healthy, in which the sale of the Parc des Princes is not on the table, because the Paris Council has decided so. […] I think that by sitting around the table in a dispassionate and serious manner we could very easily find a solution. » he confided in particular. To be continued…
