Luis Enrique has all the rights to PSG. At least, on a sporting level. With the new policy put in place by President Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, there is no longer any interference between the coach and the hierarchy unlike the more direct relations in the past with Enrique’s predecessors. This is a first since the start of the QSI era.
The Paris Saint–Germain has changed completely. In June 2022, Nasser Al–Khelaïfi gave an interview to Parisiana few days before the appointment of Christophe Galtier to the position of coach and after the induction of Luis Campos as a football advisor. The sporting project was evolving and was going to be based on young talents to be polished rather than a systematic recruitment of stars.
The revolution imagined by Al-Khelaïfi is underway
But that’s not all. In addition to recruitment policy, the coach has inherited greater decision-making power. On July 5, 2023, Luis Enrique was entrusted with the professional group of PSG and would work together with Luis Campos in order to redraw the main lines of the workforce. Nasser Al–Khelaïfifor his part, would then withdraw except on exceptional occasions.
This is a first, Luis Enrique has full sporting powers!
The Team explains this Wednesday that the president of PSG would no longer set foot in sporting choices and would leave the field open to the coach, either Luis Enriquewho would have full tactical powers. The Spanish coach would not even need to inform management and the presidency in advance, unlike some of his predecessors.
