Revenge against Spain in the semi-finals?
France faced Croatia in the group stage of the Nations League in 2022, with two matches played in June, a few months before the World Cup. After a draw from Split (1-1), the Tricolores were beaten at the Stade de France on a penalty from Luka Modric at the start of the match (0-1). Despite the returns of Karim Benzema and Kylian Mbappé for this match, the Blues, very sluggish at the end of the season, had not found the fault.
In the event of qualification against Croatia, the Blues would join the Final Four, scheduled for early June. They already know their table for the semi-finals, with a possible shock against Spain if both nations qualify. For a revenge of the semi-final of the last Euro?
