Bernard Arnault wants to strike hard at Paris FC by making the current leader of Ligue 2 a stronghold in French football. He will be accompanied by Red Bull, which however has many other projects in its sights.
Current leader of the French Ligue 2 championship, Paris FC is on the verge of being sold to Bernard Arnault. In an official press release published last week, Agache, the holding company controlled by Bernard Arnault, indicated that it had entered “in exclusive negotiations to buy Paris FC in partnership with Red Bull”. The Austrian company which markets energy drinks will bring its know-how in sport to Bernard Arnault, but the current owner of Leipzig and Salzburg has many other projects in his sights. And for good reason, Foot Market tells us that Red Bull, whose football director is none other than Jürgen Klopp, also wants to invest in Italy.
Red Bull wants to invest in Italy
The media tells us that Red Bull is “determined to invest in Italy” and if possible in a club that owns its stadium. Torino is a serious avenue, but the situation of Genoa, which is going through a colossal financial crisis after the 777 Partners fiasco, is another target to take into account, particularly if the project does not come to fruition at Torino. Regardless, Red Bull's ambition is stronger than ever, which is undoubtedly good news for Paris FC. Especially since the financial power of the Austrian group as well as its know-how in sport, football but not only, no longer needs to be demonstrated. At this rate, Jürgen Klopp for his part will have a hell of a job given the number of clubs in which Red Bull will be involved in the months and years to come.
