Beaten by Sudan, Nuamah’s Ghana sees CAN 2025 slip away. Winner of Malawi, Senegal of Niakhaté has officially validated its qualification.

These qualifiers for the African Cup of Nations are a real ordeal for Ghana, which the names which make up the group did not suggest. This Tuesday afternoon, Ernest Nuamah and his teammates lost for the second time in four matches during qualifying for CAN 2025. Once again a starter (57 minutes), the winger did not shine for his 14th selection, like the rest of his team.

After the draw against Sudan on Thursday (0-0), the Black Stars had to win to stay in the race, they who only had two points before October 15. Unfortunately for the Ghanaians, they were helpless against the Sudanese, losing 2-0 conceding two goals just after the hour mark.

With five lengths behind second place in the group with two games to go, they would need a very favorable combination of circumstances to get back on their opponent of the day, while Clinton’s Angola Eye (9 units), which has one part less, is unattainable. The Angolans can also secure their ticket for the continental competition from today in the event of a draw against Niger.

The Senegalese almost had to wait, and had to fight hard to overcome Malawi (0-1). But thanks to the achievement of Sadio Mane in added time (96th), they qualified for the tournament organized in Morocco between December 2025 and January 2026.

Moussa No matter what played the entire match, showing himself to be rather solid. He also celebrated his 14th cape with the Lions of Teranga. A return to the Rhône with full confidence for the defender, who will have participated in 180 minutes of this gathering. In November, the two posters against Burkina Faso and Burundi will simply be used to designate the winner of Group L.
