Lookman at PSG in January, the door is wide open

Last summer on the transfer market, PSG wanted many offensive players. Ademola Lookman was notably in the capital club’s little papers.

PSG fans and observers were somewhat disappointed with the last summer transfer market carried out by the Ile-de- club. Especially after the departure of Kylian Mbappé, who was ultimately not replaced. In the coming weeks, particularly this winter, the French champions could take action to strengthen their attack in the event of good opportunities. And a player caught the eye of Parisian management a few weeks ago: Ademola Lookman. The Atalanta player was even ready to force his departure from Italy to join the ranks of Luis Enrique. If the transfer had not happened, the door remains open for the Nigerian.

Lookman, PSG knows what remains to do

According to information from Florian Plettenberg, Ademola Lookman is in fact always open to a new challenge, starting with the winter transfer window. If Atalanta president Antonio Percassi had blocked the transfer of the versatile 26-year-old striker last summer, everything could well be different in the next transfer window. Moreover, the price for a possible transfer of Lookman is set between 25 and 30 million euros, while his contract still runs until June 2026. It remains to be seen whether Saint-Germain will take advantage of this to rush towards Lookman, eager for a change of scenery and to prove himself in an ambitious European club. PSG has funds available but Luis Enrique wants to take the time to evaluate numerous criteria before rushing into a new element to introduce into his squad.
