Accreditations are down when PSG travels

This 2024-2025 version of PSG attracts fewer journalists in its wake, on the move. The consequence of the departure of its stars of the time, Messi, Neymar or Mbappé.

It seems a long time ago that the entire international press was rushing to Saint-Germain. At the time of the Messi-Neymar-Mbappé trio, the entire football planet wanted to know and see more about this extraordinary association. Everything has changed since then, first Messi, then Neymar and now Mbappé have left. And the interest around PSG has somewhat run out of steam.

Fewer stars means fewer requests for accreditation when PSG travels

This is what is reported The Team in its edition of the day. The sports daily puts forward figures of the accreditation of journalists when the club travels, taking as an example the matches played in . There are, for the match scheduled this weekend in Ligue 1, 34 accreditations, against practically double a year earlier (76). And nothing comparable to the first match played with Lionel Messi, also in Reims, and which had generated 144 accreditations.

Less flashy on paper, this Paris Saint-Germain is perhaps less interesting, especially in the international press. But it always takes a little to reverse trends, like beating Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Manchester City, if not all three in the Champions League. And in this case there is no doubt that people will be rushing to the gate.
