At the end of a match with an incredible scenario, UBB won on the lawn of Vannes this Saturday (29-37). A crazy success, at the end of an unexpected comeback, while Yannick Bru's men were trailing 29-0 in the first period.
Match of extremes this evening at Rabine! First of all because the RCV, bottom of the Top 14, hosted the second in the ranking, the UBB. Extremes too because each team alternately went from dream to nightmare. Emotions linked to the direction of the wind which damaged the Bordelais in the first half before sending them to the moon in the second half.
“?????????” ????????? !
At the end of a match with an incredible storyline, UBB won on the Vannes pitch. A crazy success, at the end of an unexpected comeback, while Yannick Bru's men were trailing 29 to 0.

Vannes overturns everything in its path
Like the Morbihannais' second try scored by Saili (13th), the difference in level was obvious from the start of the match. On this action, the New Zealander imposed his power to finish between the poles and knock out a few more of the Bordelais lost to the Breton squalls. In total, the Vannes players scored 4 tries during the first period spent with the wind at their backs. Also supported by their public, the blue and white played well both physically and tactically. Everything was going well until, after a little relaxation on the part of the locals, Bordeaux-Bègles came out of its lethargy to score an unexpected try just before half-time (29 to 7). In the meantime, we felt that these points conceded by Vannes could weigh heavily in the balance of a match largely influenced by the wind.
Bordeaux changes gear
With the wind at their backs, the visitors did not cast doubt on Rabine for too long. In the 42nd and 46th minutes, two tries were scored leading the score to 29 to 19. From then on, we felt that a comeback was well within the ropes of UBB who, without developing masterful Rugby, dominated with their head and the shoulders of a disoriented Morbihan team. It was in the 56th minute of the match that this duel finally changed. On a new Unionist wave, a penalty try was awarded while two yellow cards were sent to Surano and Saili (29/26). At 13 against 15 for ten minutes, the locals showed courage but they had to lower their flag once again, allowing Cazeaux to score a double (29/31). It was the scorers who concluded the show and in this game, the Vannes residents let slip a defensive bonus point after Lafage's failure against the poles (79th).
