France XV scrum half Nolann Le Garrec was absent from training on Saturday morning. The Racing 92 player, victim of a blow to his knee, left Marcoussis to take exams.
Should we be worried about Nolann Le Garrec? The question arises. The scrum half of the XV of France, on whom the French staff is certainly counting to be the understudy of captain Antoine Dupont during this autumn tour, had to withdraw from training this Saturday morning in Marcoussis. And for good reason. The day before, he received a blow to his knee. He therefore left the National Rugby Center on Saturday morning to undergo additional examinations to assess the seriousness of his injury.
A simple blow?
For the moment, there does not seem to be any reason for concern. As a reminder, a few days after the announcement of the list of 42 players selected by coach Fabien Galthié, the latter had already had to deplore the withdrawals of Uini Atonio, Léo Berdeu, Pierre Bochaton and Sipili Falatea. Le Garrec is one of the players protected by the French XV this weekend one week before the first match of the tour, against Japan at the Stade de France. The Blues will then continue with a duel against New Zealand on November 16, before concluding this series of tests against Argentina on November 22.
