A true figure in French rugby, Bernard Laporte held the position of president of the FFR (French Rugby Federation) between 2016 and 2023. On Monday September 30, he agreed to look back on his sporting career in the show Chez Jordan on C8. Facing Jordan de Luxe, Bernard Laporte spoke of his decision to become a coach at the end of his playing career. “What’s difficult is managing players like Vincent, with whom you played. They’re your friends, then you train them, sometimes you don’t make them play, that wasn’t easy” he notably remembered.

Asked about the affair Hugo Auradou and Oscar JegouBernard Laporte decided to give a clear opinion. I realize that today it proves me right”. Visibly upset against the attitude of the president of the FFR after the accusations towards the two players, he wanted to remind: “The presumption of innocence is still important.
