Lenovo Legion Pro: the range of gaming laptops is renewed with a new chassis and Oled

In all the excitement surrounding the announcement of the Legion Go S portable console, the revival of the Legion Pro gaming laptop range seems almost discreet. However, this 2025 vintage marks the occasion, with a brand new classy chassis and a technical sheet which borrows from the latest innovations from Intel and Nvidia, to expand the high-end offering from the manufacturer Lenovo.

Faced with some of its competitors, the Lenovo Legion Pro has never succumbed to the worst indulgences of the gaming market. laptops gaming. However, several small adjustments improve the silhouette of the 2025 models. The superfluous lines of the chassis have disappeared, while the keyboard keys return to a more conventional shape, with a less concave lower line. It’s still a beautiful beast – with a thickness of 26.65 mm at its maximum for the Legion Pro 7i, nonetheless, but we nevertheless notice a real effort to offer a more subtle design, in a direction which evokes the codes of other computers of the brand.

We already talked about it during our recap of the Intel keynote, but the Core Ultra 200HX processors are designed for these gaming war machines. Several models featuring various versions of these chips will be offered – up to the Core Ultra 275H CPU, with its 24 cores clocked at a maximum of 5.4 GHz, for the Legion Pro 7i and 5i. The Legion Pro 5 will join forces with the team red by offering an AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX.

On the graphics card side, we will logically find the new RTX 50 cards from Nvidia. For the most expensive Legion Pro 7i model, it will even be possible to embed an RTX 5090, with its 24 GB of RAM, clocked at 175W.

These new laptops are logically placed in a high price segment, with the resulting expectations, particularly in terms of the screen. The good news is that all models will feature a WQXGA resolution OLED panel (2560 x 1600 px) at a refresh rate of up to 240 Hz on the Legion Pro 7i.

The transition is perfect to talk about the price. Unsurprisingly, it is the Legion Pro 7i which will be the most expensive, with a starting price of $2,399 in its most “modest” configuration, with a release scheduled for next March. The Legion Pro 5i and 5, expected in May and June 2025 respectively, will be around $1,500.
