Let’s go for the development operation of the regional platform of essential reserves of Marrakech-Safi. The Department of the Interior has just mandated the operator BTP, Jet Contractorsto carry out the construction work on this platform. Cost of the service: 132.4 million dirhams. The future platform will include several components. These consist of 4 warehouses of 5,000 m² each, an administrative space of 200 m², a social room for staff, a well with water tank in addition to several outdoor facilities and a green space. The Marrakech-Safi platform, a region which experienced the consequences of the 2022 earthquake, is among several others which will be developed in the rest of the regions of the Kingdom. These strategic projects are part of an integrated multi-sector program spanning five years (2024-2028).

With an overall budget of 120 billion dirhams, this Roadmap provides for the creation, in each region, of a large platform of essential reserves, including blankets, beds, tents, medicines and foodstuffs. food, in order to immediately deal with natural disasters. This program was defined within the framework of Law No. 57-23 relating to the approval of Decree-Law No. 2.23.870 establishing the Development Agency of Skin Atlas. This legislative text intervenes in application of the High Guidelines of HM King Mohammed VI relating to the reconstruction and rehabilitation of disaster areas following the Al Haouz earthquake.

This law includes a set of provisions relating to the definition of the missions and prerogatives assigned to this Agency, in particular the implementation of all projects and components of the program, including the reconstruction and rehabilitation of affected areas, taking into consideration the environmental dimension and ensuring respect for the unique heritage, traditions and lifestyles of the local population and seismic construction standards, as well as the implementation of socio-economic development projects in the regions targeted by this program.

It is also a matter of working to ensure convergence of the projects registered within the framework of this program, in coordination with the various departments and stakeholders concerned, as well as of evaluating the impact of the projects carried out, through indicators performance measurement.
