A significant breakthrough appears to be emerging in negotiations for a ceasefire in Gaza and an agreement on hostages, according to information revealed this Sunday by the Al Arabiya channel. According to Israeli mediators, solutions have been found for all the blocking points, with the agreement now only awaiting political validation.

The proposed plan would extend over two to three months and include several major components: immunity granted to senior Hamas officials in exchange for their departure from Gaza, the transfer of power to an independent Palestinian entity, the deployment of international forces on the UNIFIL model in Lebanon and an American guarantee for the application of the agreement.

On Friday, an Israeli delegation of experts visited Doha to continue discussions under the auspices of Qatar and Egypt. The head of Mossad is expected in the Qatari capital on Monday. The Biden administration, which actively supports these diplomatic efforts, is pressing Hamas to accept the proposals. If the terrorist organization has expressed its desire to quickly reach an agreement, the exact state of the negotiations remains uncertain.

Meanwhile, military operations continue: the IDF and Shin Bet carried out around 100 attacks in Gaza over the weekend, including more than 50 targeted strikes based on intelligence. These operations particularly target the governance capacities of Hamas and its units responsible for controlling humanitarian aid.
