Olympique de Marseille should formalize in the coming days the transfer of defender Luiz Felipe, 27, as a free agent. An arrival which should push Lilian Brassier towards the exit. Having passed through Lazio Rome and Real Betis, Felipe joined Saudi Arabia in the summer of 2023 but ultimately only played 28 games before terminating his contract this summer with the Al-Ittihad club. Soon under the orders of Roberto De Zerbi in the Marseille city, the native of Colina in Brazil, would have already found his future destination after his adventure in Ligue 1.
A return to Betis in 2026?
Moving to Betis during the 2022-2023 season, the Italian-Brazilian player left a good image with the supporters, with his coach Manuel Pellegrini and speculation during his departure pointed to a return to the club. His free departure from Al-Ittihad due to the lack of places for non-community players had pushed its leaders to make him sign a clause, revealed by ABC, prohibiting him from returning to the tenants of Benito Villamarin at least until in 2026. Marca specifies that this is why he will sign a contract for only one and a half years in order to give himself the opportunity to return to a city he loved, as soon as the vet is over.
