“I didn’t feel capable anymore,” remembers Emilie*, 31. A full-time primary school teacher for eight years, she decided to write her resignation letter. That was last March. “I was exhausted, disgusted with the school system.” She continues: “It’s sad to say, but today I feel relieved to have taken the plunge and made the decision to change direction.” The young Fribourg native will still make it to the end of the school year before leaving her classroom for the last time.
