Mina- The hurried pilgrims left the site of Mina on Tuesday for Mecca to perform the farewell Tawaf around the holy Kaaba.

The departure of this group of pilgrims towards Mecca comes after the completion of the stoning of the three Jamarat, begun the day before on the first day of Tashriq, “amid careful organization on the part of all the competent authorities in order to preserve safety” of pilgrims, reports the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

Several paths had been laid out to distribute the crowds on the different floors of the center of Jamarat in order to facilitate the movement of pilgrims to the installation “built in a technical manner connected to the train network by pedestrian bridges”, recalls- we.

Quoted by SPA, the Presidency of Religious Affairs of the Alharam Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque assures, for its part, that it “is prepared to enrich the experience of pilgrims, by activating the circumambulation initiative in its third phase , linked to the farewell Tawaf, after the first phase accomplished before Arafat and the second phase reserved for the Tawaf Al-Ifadah”.

The Presidency receives, in fact, pilgrims who wish to perform the Tawaf service and accompanies them in the execution of the rite in accordance with the requirements of Sharia law, notes the same source.

For its part, the General Administration of Tawaf Affairs provides numerous services to pilgrims, including receiving and accompanying them during their performance of the Arrival Tawaf, the Tawaf al-Ifadah and the Farewell Tawaf.

The pilgrims began, Monday at the site of Mina, the stoning of the “three Jamarat” on the second day of Eid Al Adha in Saudi Arabia, the first day of Tachriq, starting with the minor, then the intermediate before finishing with the great jamara of Al Aqaba, in accordance with the tradition of the Prophet.

More than 1.8 million pilgrims took part in the Hajj this year, including 1.6 million from abroad, Saudi authorities announced on Saturday.
