3 Tedesco: surprising basic eleven with Carrasco left back and lost bet during the first period where his midfield seemed lost. Tried to turn things around but suffered his first defeat at a very bad time.
6.5 Casteels: put to use on a shot from Bozenik, he bowed on the rebound in front of Schranz (7th). World-class save on a volley from Haraslin (40th) before seeing his teammates stumble against Slovakia.
5.5 Castagne: suffered defensively against Haraslin. A nice opening towards Doku (26th) and a little more offensive energy in the second period without being transcendent.
6 De Bruyne: some pressing on Dubravka which almost bore fruit. A very nice opening towards Doku (34th) or towards Lukaku (59th) but sometimes not as precise as hoped like a ball too long for Trossard. A final shot on target but too soft (90th).
