No one in the MR can boast of such a high penetration rate. The president of the MR, Georges-Louis Bouchez, convinced “only” 10.74% of voters in his constituency of Hainaut.
In the country, there are only four to do better than Florence Reuter: Bart De Wever (N-VA, 21.44% in the constituency of Antwerp), Maxime Prévot (Les Engagés, 15.17% in the constituency of Namur), Benoît Lutgen (Les Engagés, 12.82% in the Luxembourg constituency) and Paul Magnette (PS, 12.19% in the Hainaut constituency).
In the regional elections, four candidates did better than Florence Reuter: Nicolas Martin (PS, 14.77%, Mons constituency), Willy Borsus (13.51%, Arlon-Marche-en-Famenne-Bastogne-Neufchâteau-constituency). Virton), Richard Fournaux (MR, 11.67%, Dinant-Philippeville constituency) and Jacqueline Galant (MR, 11.13%, Mons constituency).

If her personal score remains quite far from the 35,062 preference votes that Charles Michel obtained in 2019, Florence Reuter is nevertheless enjoying her new personal record. The mayor of Waterloo is not the only one to enjoy it. Yves Coppieters (Les Engagés) exceeds 20,000 preference votes for his first election. “Frankly, it’s a surprise. I noticed that people assured me of their support on the markets. But we are never sure how it will materialize at the ballot box. I would have already been satisfied by 10,000 votes preferably. So, 20,000 is really an excellent surprise.”

Valérie De Bue (MR) signs the best score in Walloon Brabant for the regional elections. “Believe it or not, I never set personal objectives before an election. The objective was to keep our four deputies (in the Walloon parliament). We achieved this and I am particularly happy about it. As far as I’m concerned, I’m sure I’m happy to have crossed the 20,000 preference vote mark.”.
With 22,125 preferred votes, Valérie De Bue is far ahead of her pursuers. Vincent Blondel and Armelle Gysen (both Les Engagés) exceeded 10,000 preference votes for their first election. This will be more than enough for their happiness and their election.
