At least 13 Palestinians, including displaced people, were killed by nighttime Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip devastated by more than a year of war, Civil Defense in the besieged Palestinian territory said Tuesday.

Of the 13 people killed, four died when an Israeli strike hit a family home in the east of Gaza City (north), Civil Defense spokesperson Mahmoud Bassal told AFP.
Three other people were killed and several injured when a tent housing displaced people was hit by another Israeli strike in the east of the town of Khan Younes (South), according to Mr. Bassal.
In Deir al-Balah, in the central Gaza Strip, Bassal reported at least four deaths after a tent was hit by an Israeli raid overnight.
Finally, the Civil Defense spokesperson reported two people killed by other Israeli airstrikes.
Entire sectors of the Gaza Strip have been reduced to ruins and almost all of its 2.4 million inhabitants have been displaced at least once during the war between Israel and Hamas which has caused serious humanitarian crisis in the Palestinian territory.
The Israeli army said Tuesday that it was continuing its ground and air offensive in the northern Gaza Strip, where according to Civil Defense, hundreds of people have been killed since the operation began a month ago. .
The army, which says it launched this offensive in the Gaza Strip to prevent Hamas units from regrouping there, said in a statement that it had killed dozens of fighters from the Palestinian Islamist movement in the Jabalia region on Monday. during close combat and airstrikes.
Several Palestinian fighters were also killed in the center of the Gaza Strip and in the Rafah area (South), according to the same statement.
Four dead in the West Bank
Four Palestinians were killed Tuesday by Israeli airstrikes in the northern occupied West Bank, according to several official Palestinian sources.
Two people were killed in the town of Tammun, Ahmad al-Assad, governor of Tubas, whose jurisdiction includes Tammum, told AFP.
“There was a martyr in the airstrike, his body was reduced to pieces,” he said.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health, which confirmed the death of two men killed by the Israeli army, affirmed that the other body, “whose identity is not known at this stage”, was being held by the Israeli army.
South of Jenin, two more Palestinians were killed in an Israeli airstrike on the town of Qabatiyah, according to Jenin Governor Kamal Abu al-Rob.
“Two martyrs were killed following an airstrike by Israeli forces during an operation in the Qabatiyah area,” he told AFP.
Mr. Abou al-Rob said the two men were aged 40 and 38 and were from the same family.
The Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed the attack.
The Israeli military said it was verifying reports about Tammun, but it did not comment on the Qabatiyah operation.
Violence in the West Bank, territory occupied by Israel since 1967, has worsened since the start of the war in the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023 following an unprecedented attack by Hamas on southern Israel.
Since then, at least 754 Palestinians have been killed by the Israeli army or settlers, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.
At least 24 Israelis, including soldiers, died there in Palestinian attacks or in military operations, according to official Israeli data.
