Ziguinchor, Nov 4 (APS) – The head of the national list of the “Sénégal Kessé” coalition, Thierno Alassane Sall advocated, this weekend in Ziguinchor (south), the removal of the amnesty law adopted by the Assembly national before the holding of the presidential election on March 24 in order to “shed light on the numerous deaths that Senegal has experienced between 2021 and 2023”.
“If we obtain the majority in the National Assembly, we will remove the amnesty law to shed light on the numerous deaths that Senegal has experienced between 2021 and 2023,” promised the head of the national list of the coalition “ Senegal Kessé”, during a local visit to the commune of Ziguinchor, as part of the electoral campaign for the legislative elections on November 17.
“If we obtain an overwhelming majority, we will repeal this amnesty law because Senegalese have died and so far we do not know the circumstances of their death. Senegalese people were mutilated and others lost their property. So, we owe the truth to the people,” insisted Thierno Alassane Sall.
On another note, he “underlines the urgent need to initiate in-depth discussions “to put an end to the conflict in Casamance which is more than four decades old”.
In the company of the head of the departmental list, Babacar Dial, Thierno Alassane Sall roamed the streets of Ziguinchor. He deplored the “state” in which the roads in this town are located.
“If your roads are degraded, it is because there is a clear desire to allow the suffering of the populations to continue,” said Mr. Sall.
“I am ready to bring all your grievances before the National Assembly. Your roads are impassable and there are no quality hospitals in Ziguinchor. It’s really sad because no one takes care of you,” he said.
The head of the national list of the “Sénégal Kessé” coalition says he is “disappointed with this current situation in the commune of Ziguinchor”.
For him, “Casamance should overcome its current situation”.
“Someone talked about the social and solidarity economy and local currency. Where is this monetary policy? We just sold you an unrealizable dream. We have not noticed any change,” regretted Thierno Alassane Sall.
