But the departure of the man who is considered “the last dinosaur of the news” actually preceded… another departure. More discreet, this one. If everyone talked about the departure of François de Brigode, few noticed that… Fabienne Vande Meersche had not appeared on the public channel for several weeks.
Indeed, according to our colleagues from L’Avenir, the journalist took her pension last August. She had asked to be able to do it discreetly.
The one who presented the news from 1997 to 2003 had started in 1979 at RTBF. She has produced many successful shows such as “Génération 80”, “Visa pour le monde”, “Les Sentiers du Monde”, “Le Carrousel aux Images” and, more recently, “Le Forum de Midi” on the Première.
