The Casablanca Stock Exchange closes positively, with gains in several major indices, highlighting a dynamic day for the Moroccan financial market.

The Casablanca Stock Exchange ended its activities on a positive note on Wednesday, reflecting the strength of the local financial market. The MASI, the main stock market barometer, recorded an increase of 0.26%, reaching 13,281.24 points. This index reflects the evolution of large listed companies and is often seen as an indicator of the economic health of the country.

The MASI.20, which tracks the 20 most liquid stocks, increased by 0.32%, settling at 1,077.35 points. The MASI.ESG index, listing companies with the best social responsibility ratings, also saw an increase of 0.25%, closing at 962.02 points.

In the small and medium enterprise segment, the MASI Mid and Small Cap grew by 0.40%, affirming its place at 1,206.76 points, a sign of increased interest in mid-sized entities in the market.

International indices affiliated with the Casablanca Stock Exchange also showed an increase. The FTSE CSE Morocco 15 climbed 0.44% to 12,411.86 points, and the FTSE CSE Morocco All-Liquid gained 0.25%, settling at 11,101.71 points.

Sectoral gains were led by “Holding Companies” with an impressive rise of 6.49%, closely followed by “Distributors” and “Electricity” which gained 2.77% and 1.56% respectively. .

However, some industries experienced less favorable days, notably “Beverages” which fell by 4.87%, as well as the “Chemicals” and “Transport” sectors which recorded declines of 2.42% and 2.28%. % respectively.

Trading volume was substantial, totaling over 487.18 million dirhams, dominated by large transactions in companies such as BCP, Risma, and Les Eaux Minerales d’Oumès.

Among individual stocks, Delta Holding and Ib Maroc.com stood out with significant increases of 6.52% and 4.45%. On the other hand, notable declines were observed at Société des beverages du Maroc and Eqdom, highlighting the volatility inherent in certain market segments.

With a market capitalization exceeding 689.97 billion dirhams, the Casablanca Stock Exchange continues to play a central role in financing the national economy, attracting the attention of local and international investors.
