Indeed, many Internet users wondered if the photo had been photoshopped. Some even believe that King Frederik X and Queen Mary were photographed separately, before being put side by side via Photoshop.
In the comments, we can read: “Nice photo, but another digitally enhanced royal photo”or “Is this photoshopped? I can say, they look like they were photographed separately and then put together”. To support this hypothesis, some claim that the placement of Queen Mary’s hand does not appear natural.
THE Palace of Denmark directly denied the rumors in a press release. “The official gala portrait of the Royal Household has not been manipulated”he says.
