A high-flying duel. The final of Beijing Express, in the footsteps of the golden tiger saw Patricia and Jessica confront each other, on one side and Romain and Laura on the other. It was ultimately the latter who won by only a few minutes, even if the hairdresser and his client did not imagine going that far at all. “It was already an incredible opportunity to join the race, because we had mourned the loss of participating in Beijing Express” explains Romain during an interview given to Tele-Leisure. The northern pair arrived on the fourth day of the adventure after the abandonment of Brandon and Nathan before establishing themselves as one of the favorites for the race.

During our interview, Romain and Laura said more about their exchanges with Patricia and Jessica when they found them at the venue of the final. “When they arrive, we feel bad, we want to hide because we don’t know how to react. At the time, they really weren’t good.” Laura remembers. To ease the pain of their competitors, the winners of Beijing Express had particularly touching words that were not heard when the episode aired. So the real estate negotiator told them that they deserved to win just as much and that they could be proud of their journey because they are fighters.

Laura’s hairdresser shares an anecdote that took place during a day off for the pairs, at the end of the second stage. “I was still crying because I’m very close to my mother, I’m very close to my boyfriend, and it’s the first time I left without them. I realized that I was in Beijing Express, it was crazy. I broke down and Patricia and Jessica were there.” The mother of little Louisa, who plans to go see the unsuccessful finalists next summer, concludes : “We love the Corsicans, they are incredible.”
