There is a certain idea of ​​the nineties aesthetic at Necchi – a studio named in reference to the legendary Milanese villa. In the interiors that obsess the couple at the head of the architectural agency, the universe ofYves Saint Laurent and the common sense of a Terence Conran. A pleasure in opposites attracting: “Plexiglass with Art Deco, 1960s furniture with pieces from the 1930s, in short, something crazy”, describes Charlotte Albert. “And playful”, adds Alexis Lamesta.

Graduated from Ecole Bleue in 2012, they trained in decoration agencies with the aim of launching their own studio. This is done with a first creation in 2020, a bachelor pad. The Necchi codes are established – visible hinges, attention to detail, shiny finish, silver metal – even if they deny having any. “We certainly have a writing style, but one that then agrees with the wishes of the sponsors.

Each project has its own mood board, each search has a film. “American Gigolo” for the Chimère restaurant in Paris, “La Notte” and Antonioni’s aesthetic for a Parisian apartment, “Fantomas” for the Château d’Eau hotel. “Please note, we are not decor designers”, intervenes Alexis for whom the patina of a place matters as much as its warm appearance. “We want to have vintage furniture, that’s the end point, what brings the space to life.
