« Music makes my heart beat, a voice that comes from within, I am with her at all times, she is my soul mate » sang Walk in 2002 on “Ma musique”, one of the hits from his successful first album. Revealed by her participation in the soundtrack of the film “Taxi 2”, on which she performs “Millénaire” with Nuttea, Taïro or Faf Largeness and “Open Letter” with Disiz, the singer from Créteil experienced many years of struggle before finally breaking through to the big day. She then imposed her voice and her style in a booming R&B scene with the arrival of Leslie, Wallen and even K-Reen and China Moses, with whom she formed the group JCK some time later. “ It was finally the reward for ten years of work. I was biding my time. I knew at some point it was going to happen. I experienced magical moments with my audience for 5-6 years » remembered Walk in 2014 in an interview with Purecharts, measuring his luck at having experienced this attention: “ Success has never scared me because I have always had my feet on the ground. I always knew it could fall behind. I never got a big head ».

“Here we go for a lovely adventure”
Unfortunately, Jalane’s second album, recorded in New York, never saw the light of day, prematurely sealing the end of this beautiful story: “ I found myself with people who didn’t necessarily want to work with me, who weren’t suitable, who didn’t know the job well. I found myself with a team of broken arms. I found that unacceptable. They crashed my album “. Subsequently, the interpreter of “Femmes (this time, I know…)” and “Oublie-le” remained in the artistic world by founding with her husband her own company Come On Productions, hiding behind the clips “SOS” by Indila, “Tourner la page” by Zaho or “How many people” by Florent Pagny, and who notably won numerous awards for the short film “Lapsus”. But Walk preferred to stay away from the spotlight. “ I declined all interviews for over 10 years » she confides as she begins her comeback.
At 53, Walk found a taste for music again. On her Instagram account, the ex-star of the 2000s is proud to announce big news: her first concert in more than a decade! “ To all those who have been asking me for all these years to come back on stage, I will see you on July 4, 2025 » she writes, delighted to see her name at the top of the poster for the Do You Remember festival, which will be held in Taverny next summer: “ That’s it, let’s go for a great adventure! I love you and I can’t wait to see you again “. For its second edition, this 100% nostalgic festival will revive many memories for spectators with the confirmed arrival of Singuila, Lââm, Billy Crawford, the 3T, the L5, Shola Ama and Menelik but also Kayna Samet, Colonel Reyel, Matt Houston, Slaï , Jessy Matador or… Ophélie Winter, who was the rival of Walk in the mid-90s when she was trying to find a place for herself. “ We were on the same slot so people made sure I didn’t go out. I could be in the way at that moment » she confided to our microphone. Tickets for the DYR Festival are already on sale, so don’t delay!
