Faced with the flop of her last album in France, singer Yseult did not hesitate to make a huge rant on social networks. And the latter pulls no punches.
A new phenomenon in French song, Yseult has a string of successes. This summer, the artist performed at the closing ceremony of the 2024 Summer Olympics.
In the process, the singer became the most listened to French-speaking female artist on Spotify. And that’s not all! The 30-year-old was invited to the set of Jimmy Fallon’s “Tonight Show,” where she performed his song “Suicide.”
Since then, Yseult has been a hit in the United States. Proof: the composer entered the Billboard 100 last July with the song “Alibi”. One thing is certain: nothing seems to stop the star.
However, it seems that her latest album entitled “Mental” did not meet with the success expected by the singer. A real disappointment for the artist, who did not hesitate to express his dissatisfaction on social networks.

Yseult attacks the French public
This weekend, Yseult took over her X account to rant against the public. And the young woman was particularly virulent:
«Mental is one of the best projects released in France this year. Those who disagree, choke“, she wrote.
Obviously very upset, Yseult wonders about the flop of her last album. She explains:
«I can’t believe people are sleeping on a project like Mental, it’s very serious. Could you give me an example of a similar project in France? I’m serious, because the way you’re snoring on this project is hot».

The “Corps” singer doesn’t stop there. In her message, she wonders if France deserves an artist like her.
«Yesterday, watching the live (tv) performances I did in France, I asked myself if France really deserves the power, the heart and the love that I give on stage, or is my project really exploded, you really make me doubt“, she said.
Before adding:
«Can’t wait to start my tour in the US and Europe because I absolutely have to answer my question».
Unsurprisingly, the singer’s words did not go unnoticed. In the comments session, the young woman received a wave of support from her fans:
“Your project is incredible!”, “I streamed hard, incredible project”, “You are incredible… too bad people don’t really understand this project”, we can read among the reactions.
However, some Internet users denounced the artist’s behavior, like this user:
«Honestly, your album sucks and your arrogance (which we also find in this tweet) doesn’t make you want to listen to your projects + the French like it when we sing in French».
