Vivendi, emptied of most of its assets after the group’s split on Monday, will leave the CAC 40 stock index from December 23, the operator Euronext announced on Tuesday.

“Euronext announced today an update of its quarterly revision of the CAC family indices, following the split of Canal+, Havas and Louis Hachette Group from Vivendi,” he said in a press release published after the session.

The withdrawal will be “effective from Monday December 23, 2024,” Euronext added.

The French inspection and certification group Bureau Veritas will take its place in the CAC 40 index.

This exit was expected, to the extent that the Vivendi SE holding company was emptied of a large part of its assets after the split of the group controlled by Vincent Bolloré.

The French media and publishing giant has split into four entities, as part of a fast-paced operation.

Louis Hachette Group, which brings together Hachette Livre, Relay, and media such as Europe 1, JDD, Voici and Géo, was introduced on the Euronext Growth market in , regulated but not regulated.

The Havas communications group was listed in Amsterdam and the television giant Canal + in London.

The Vivendi holding company, which remains listed in Paris, will only continue to manage various minority stakes as well as the video game publisher Gameloft, 100% owned.

Its action was worth 2.51 euros at the close on Tuesday evening, down 3.87%.

Its market capitalization now reached only 2.7 billion euros, compared to 8.55 billion euros before the split.
