Villeneuve-d’Ascq: a K-pop Market is coming this weekend for fans of Korean culture

The unmissable event for all K-pop fans! Saturday June 29 and Sunday June 30, 2024, Grand Playgroundlocated at Villeneuve d’Ascqwill welcome the K-pop Marketthe very first walk entirely dedicated to korean culture.

Fashion, street food, dance…

Organized in collaboration with the Lille association K-dreamers, the K-pop Market promises to immerse visitors in the vibrant world of K-pop. For this, around twenty exhibitors will set up over 600m2. “This space will be the scene of discoveries, meetings and activities around this fascinating culture,” announces the Grand Playground.

Various stands will offer the “best of Korean culture”. We will find:

• fashion, with the latest trends and unique pieces to enrich your wardrobe
• street food, to delight your taste buds with authentic Korean culinary specialties
• illustrations, books, jewelry, to immerse yourself in the Korean artistic and literary universe with inspiring and captivating works
• a beauty corner, to discover skincare and Korean beauty products

In addition to the exhibitor stands, the K-pop Market will offer activities that will punctuate the weekend:

• dance workshops: Learn about the iconic choreographies of your favorite K-pop groups with professional dancers. Hours: Saturday from 3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., Sunday from 2 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.
• DJ sets: vibrate to the sound of the best K-pop hits mixed by a talented DJ: DJ KCARC, this young talented DJ who comes directly from Korea. Hours: Saturday from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
