New start in Reyers: Bénédicte Deprez leaves RTBF

You are leaving RTBF after more than 10 years of good and loyal service. When did you make this decision?

It wasn’t that long ago. Since I became a mother 15 months ago, I’ve been asking myself a lot of questions. My desires have changed. I love this new role as a mother and I’ve reviewed my priorities. I realized that I needed new challenges. So I made the decision to leave RTBF, a company that saw me grow up. The decision wasn’t easy. But just because it’s not easy to make doesn’t mean it’s not the right one.

What is this project for which you are leaving RTBF?

I can’t say anything yet. But I will communicate very soon on this subject.

What experience impacted you the most within RTBF?

I loved doing radio. I grew up listening to Pure FM and then Tipik. For me, it was like a real family. Even today, radio is the medium that upsets me the most because it allows for exceptional proximity with listeners. From radio, I was able to develop a lot of things at RTBF. On TV, I would say that my most memorable experience was undoubtedly the Tokyo Olympics, three years ago, with Jérémy Baise, one of my best encounters at RTBF.

Did you participate in the Belgian version of Fort Boyard ?

No, I have not been contacted in this context. But, I dream of participating one day.
