Famed rocker Jon Bon Jovi has pleaded for Halestorm frontwoman Lzzy Hale to become Skid Row’s permanent singer. In a recent interview with Rock Sound, Bon Jovi passionately defended Lzzy Hale’s inclusion in the band, describing it as the best thing that could have happened to Skid Row guitarist Dave ‘Snake’ Sabo since the beginning of their friendship.
“She should join Skid Row”Bon Jovi said, without prompting, when Lzzy Hale’s name was mentioned. “Please Lzzy Hale join Skid Row. Combine the two groups, if necessary. It’s the best thing that’s happened to Snake since he met me.”
Hale recently replaced Erik Grönwall, who left the band in April 2024 to focus on his health, as Skid Row’s vocalist for four shows in late May and early June.
Hale’s brief stint with Skid Row was met with overwhelming enthusiasm by fans. However, she and the group have indicated that she will not return to the role permanently. Hale expressed her appreciation for the opportunity she was given, saying she was “overflowing with gratitude,” but noted that “this particular time in her life prevents her from committing to a permanent role within Skid Row ”.
