Julien Doré covers a song by Kendji Girac in his next album which will be released on November 8. The interpreter of Gypsy Color looks back on his recovery which affected him enormously.
Julien Doré is preparing to unveil his sixth album, entitled Impostorfour years after the release of Aimee. A project that he has been talking about for a few weeks, on his Instagram account, and which will be available on November 8. Among his new songs, he covers the famous hit by Kendji Girac, entitled Mama’s eyes, released in 2015. A gesture which particularly touched the singer discovered in The Voice in 2014. At the MRadio microphone, he explains why he was moved.

Kendji Girac was very moved by the new version of his title Mama’s Eyesperformed by Julien Doré. At the microphone of MRadio, he explains: “He sent me his version, I promise you it gives me chills, he really touched me. The message he gave me, and why he wanted to cover the song…” And to launch into the explanation of the genesis of the project: “He wanted to pay tribute to his mother, he no longer has his mother and he had messages from his mother’s voice that he had lost. He found one, so the intro of the song, he listens to his mother’s voicemail and then he sings the song.” A recovery that looks promising and full of tenderness. In May 2022, the interpreter of Coco Cuddle had announced the death of his mother with a touching publication on Instagram.

In the same show, Kendji reveals in what unusual circumstances he received the moving message from Julien Doré. “I was at Disneyland when I heard this… I was really touched, I was with my daughter and everything, but between two rides I was really upset…“he explains, before praising the artist’s work. “He made it his own and I think what he did was really powerful.“ Fans still have to wait less than a month before discovering the result, while Kendji Girac has just revealed his latest album, entitled Vivre. Julien Doré also saw his friend’s message, since he reshared the video on Instagram.
