Billie Eilish recently confided that she will no longer discuss her sexuality and love life in her interviews.
“I wish no one knew anything about my sexuality or my love life. Never, never, ever,” she told Vogue. “And I hope that never happens again. And I will never talk about my sexuality again. And I will never talk about the people I date again.
The singer of Bad Guy opened up about her romance with The Neighborhood frontman Jesse Rutherford when they dated between October 2022 and May 2023. She also made headlines late last year after revealing she was equally attracted to men and women, and found it “obvious”. However, Billie Eilish finally admitted to Vogue that her openness and honesty on these subjects often came back to haunt her afterwards.
“I guess I also underestimate the fact that the things I say will be picked up by the biggest media outlets around the world,” she sighed, also noting that it is “so unnatural” to see her decisions making headlines while she is still searching for herself.
“We are all babies. We are all little children growing up and learning about ourselves,” she said.
Billie Eilish is currently on tour to promote her third album, Hit Me Hard and Soft. The tour, which began in Quebec, will end in December before resuming in February 2025.
