A weekend of solidarity and mobilization will enliven Nègrepelisse for Pink October.
This weekend, Nègrepelisse will be adorned in pink to celebrate Pink October, an essential solidarity mobilization. This event, which grows every year, will take place on two emblematic sites of the town: at the CAP-complexe Aimé-Padié, today Saturday October 12, and on the Place Nationale, Sunday 13.
The organizers emphasize the importance of early detection: “It allows for better care.” To raise awareness and inform, an afternoon workshop entitled Un Temps pour Elles will be offered by health professionals and volunteers. Although the 50 places available for this workshop were quickly reserved, the public is invited to come and discuss and share because each meeting is precious.
Run’in pink
Today Saturday the 12th from 7:30 p.m., it’s time to party with the Rose afterparty! With a pink dress code, the CAP performance hall will be transformed into a real cultural hub. On the program, four concerts that will delight all music lovers: rap with Prade, ballads with Monada, rock with In’extremis and dance music with DJ Jules D’Ram. Participants will not only be able to dance the night away but also savor wines and craft beers, accompanied by savory and sweet platters. Entrance is free and open to all: women, men, families and friends. Together, let’s support a cause that affects us all!
Sunday the 13th from 7:30 p.m., Place Nationale will vibrate for the Run’in pink. Participants will gather for the start at 10:30 a.m. This race attracts more than 500 people each year. Doing sport also means fighting against illness, and the event offers a 5-kilometer course accessible to everyone, from 7 to 77 years old. For those who prefer a more dynamic activity, a zumba session will be held to bring energy and good humor. Objects in the colors of the cause will be on sale, such as t-shirts, caps and bandanas, and all profits will be donated to the Montalbanese associations Artémis and Center Ressources. Your participation, however modest, will help advance the fight against breast cancer. Don’t hesitate to join this wonderful adventure of solidarity where every gesture counts.
