JENNIE (BLACKPINK)’s agency has responded to misunderstandings regarding the singer’s fandom name.
On September 19, JENNIE first released a short voicemail message in which she refers to her fans as ‘Rubies’ via her agency’s official website. In the voicemail message, JENNIE expresses:
“Hi, Rubies! It’s JENNIE. Stay tuned and see you soon. Love you. Bye!”
The message was most certainly referring to her comeback, since we recall that it was recently announced that the young woman would make her solo return during the month of October.

However, her use of the term ‘Rubies’ in her post led to speculation that JENNIE’s official fandom name might be ‘Rubies’. Given that Kwon Eun Bi’s official fandom name is also ‘RUBI’, questions began to arise about the potential overlap of the two artists’ fandom names.
Following this, JENNIE’s agency, OA Entertainment, stated that it was simply a nickname used by JENNIE but that it did not carry any particular meaning, explaining:
“Jennie simply used the term ‘Rubies’ to address her fans in a news update, and it was not an official announcement of her official fandom name.”
This ended any speculation about his fandom name, a name which will be announced in due course.
