In the afternoon, Gilbert Montagné and one of his friends had gone for a walk in the Haut Doubs countryside. But they found themselves quite far from their hotel, reports L’Est républicain. They decided to hitchhike. And were spotted by two retirees, Évelyne and Alain.

The 72-year-old artist and his friend were able to be brought back to the Étang du Moulin, where they were staying, in time. Arriving at the festival, Gilbert Montagné began his performance (late) by thanking the retired couple.
