Hello everybody !

We meet again this week for the rather unexpected release of The Battle of Jedha, a central work in phase II of the Haute République, which we could have completely missed in France!
Indeed, it is originally an audio-drama (think audiobook, but played by several actresses, with sound effects, music, etc.), a format that is rather popular across the Atlantic but which seems to have some difficult to develop here. Lizzie had tried it with the phase I audio-drama, Stormmasterbut the sales were not sufficient to continue with the others…

Luckily for us, Pocket decided to give it a try by releasing it as a script! The opportunity to not have a missing piece in this great fresco that is the High Republic! Hoping that this volume meets with success equivalent to the usual Star Wars releases, to one day have Dooku Jedi Lostor even the script of Stormmaster…

Synopsis :

The Battle of Jedha, the central event of Phase II of the High Republic, told in an original and immersive way in the form of a play!

Jedha. The worn streets of this ancient world – visited by all but belonging to no one – serve as a meeting point for the galaxy. Here, the Jedi are just one order among many who worship and study the Force. From the Keepers of the Whills to the Way of the Open Hand, countless cults travel there to learn and trade in peace.
While all of Jedha prepares for its Festival of Balance, the galaxy is still recovering from the violence perpetrated on Eiram and E’ronoh. But after foiling a plot to fuel conflict between the two planets, the Jedi believe lasting peace is within reach. Jedi Master Creighton Sun and Jedi Knight Aida Forte arrive on Jedha with delegations from both planets to formally end the “Endless War”.
However, not everyone is happy with the Jedi’s contribution or even ready to make peace. The distrust and anger that fueled the conflict between Eiram and E’ronoh for so long now threaten to corrupt all of Jedha’s communities. When violence breaks out on the sacred moon, the war that was supposed to end there could well plunge this world in turn into chaos.
