Batman's shadow looms over Gotham, but often it's the shadowy creatures that captivate us the most. “The Penguin”the new HBO series, plunges us into the underbelly of Gotham, a week after the flood caused by the mystery man. The streets still full of dirty water, the smell of mustiness and fear clinging to the decrepit walls, and in the middle of this chaos, Oswald Cobblepot, the Penguin, ready to take flight.
Colin Farrell, unrecognizable under layers of makeup, plays a brutal, ambitious and calculating personality. This mini-series is made up of eight one-hour episodes. And it is about to be released on video disc.
A 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray edition is good for pre-order on the UK market. But for the moment in France, there is only talk of a release in standard Blu-ray format. The Spin-off series will be available on Blu-ray Steelbook in France on March 19. It will contain a total of 3 Blu-ray discs.
It is reported that the filming of the episodes was done digitally using Arri Alexa LF and Mini LF cameras. The intermediate master was supervised in 4K.
